‘Music is the only democracy; all notes are equal’ - unknown

“My first real relationship with music began when I was in third or fourth grade: my Mother sat me down beside the speakers of our music system on a cane-chair and taught me Country Roads and Born Free as the cassette rolled and she jotted down the words in short-hand.
Douglas’ destiny with the guitar was written in 1990 when he was gifted a Yamaha FG-45 but he never really did get the point - the magic and wonder that is the guitar until he began playing on the
engineering college band and from 1999 onward an unbreakable bond and commitment to the instrument was established. Douglas made it a point to pick up the instrument and practice even if it was just fifteen minutes after a hectic and exhausting work day on this first job to playing for hours at a stretch on the holidays.
“The answer was always clear to me: I knew deep down that one day  I would play on stages. Maybe not like the professional greats but I knew it would pay off in its own right in its own way. And it has.”
